2% agarose gel:

• 99 mL TBE
• 1 mL 1 M MgCl₂ (to supplement to 10 mM)
• 3 μL 10 mg/mL EtBr (to supplement to 300 μM)

run in:

• 594 mL TBE
• 6 mL 1 M MgCl₂ (to supplement to 10 mM)

loading dye:

• 1 μL 10x TBE/glycerol w/ bromphenol blue added to each well
