Gill:TSB (Tryptone Soy Broth)

Materials

500 mL:

• 15 g TSB (Bacto)
• 500 ml dH₂O

1000 mL:

• 30 g TSB (Bacto)
• 1000 ml dH₂O

Procedure

Dissolve medium in water, then aliquot 100 ml into square milk bottles & autoclave. Let bottles cool and tighten caps, store at 4 ºC in the cold room.

• Don't tighten caps directly after autoclaving. This creates a vacuum that draws contaminants into the bottle when opened and may crack the glass.
