Changing Drive Letters on Windows XP (also Windows 7)

  • Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management
  • Select Disk Management from tree
  • Select drive whose letter you wish to change by clicking on the drive icon
  • Go to the menu Action > All Tasks > Change Drive Letter and Paths...
  • Select the drive letter and click on the Change button
  • Select a new drive letter and click OK
