Berglund:Strawberry Freezer Jam
- 4 cups strawberries, crushed
- 5 cups sugar
- 1 cup white corn syrup
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 box Sure-Jell (sold with canning supplies)
Slowly add Sure-Jell to berries, stir, and set aside for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add syrup and stir well. Stir in sugar gradually. When sugar is dissolved, ad lemon juice and pour into containers for freezing. Freeze for 24 hours before using. Store in freezer, great on ice cream!
You can keep in refrigerator for quite a while after opening container
- I like to make this recipe using half the amount of sugar and low sugar Sure-Jell.
