Make sure the camera is as close to eye level as possible to ensure the best look at the SYBR Green. Make sure the flash is off and all the prerequisites are met. Finally be sure to eliminate all white light from the flourimeter to ensure the best gathering of SYBR Green data.

  • Distance between the smart phone cradle and drop = 4.5 cm

Placing Samples onto the Fluorimeter

  1. Using gloves, pick a slide and place it smooth side down inside the flourimeter and adjust for height of the camera.
  2. Add 80 microliters of the SYBR Green to the slide making sure to place it in between the first and second row on the slide, align the drop with the Blue LED light.
