Hmmm...We'll have to talk about this...maybe Sunday or Monday? Imaging and equivalent planes are the same thing. It's the same as the imaging for the steering lens. You can calculate where things should be for imaging. To verify it, that's a little tougher, since you don't have a way to change the AOM frequency (which would cause beam tilting). If you put a mirror exactly where the AOM is, you could verify imaging by tilting the mirror. Where the mirror is imaged, you will get zero beam displacement, only angle changes.
