I am now working in the SDone Lab in University Health Network, University of Toronto. I learned about OpenWetWare from mailing list by Bioinformatics.org, and I've joined initially because I thought I might be able to contribute a bit to this open community. Now, I've been able to contribute to this open community. I wish this system improves constantly, its functionality expands steadily, the utility of this OWW becomes widely accepted and this community grows quickly.

Research interests
I was initially trained as a paleontologist with a BSc and an MSc degree. My specialty in this field was vertebrate paleontology. Then I changed my major to molecular biology with a PhD degree. At the time I found there was a chance to pick up some bioinformatics interests and started publishing on RNA (ribozymes) structure, function and phylogenetics implications. In the meantime, I made a library of human microRNAs in a Lentivrirus vector and investigated the genetic linkage of schizophrenia. Yes, I am a wonderer always not knowing what I am doing.
Well, my present interests are:
- Cancer related genes and regulatory networks using whatever technology, arrays, deep sequencing, and other high throughput and low throughput techniques.
- Informatics tool development and knowledge discovery for any field, biased towards biomedical usage as the starting point.
- Genetic manipulation to gain control of gene expression and produce enzymes and pharmaceutical chemicals using any system, eukaryotic, prokaryotic, archean or in vitro, ex vivo ....
