- Following moderate exposure to the suspicious biochemical reagent, tiny (microscopic) red/black dots on my left arm can be seen. Slight irritation and discomfort followed the day after being exposed to the unknown substance, which was deliberate given the rain and very humid temperature (>90%). It thus appears the reagent substance can be dissolved as a water-based liquid with possible nucleophilic-like properties.
- Exercise: Let the student elucidate if its appropriate for human beings to serve as guinea pigs (test subjects) in live biological experiments with possible synthetic organisms involvement (specificity), including mycoplasma and recombinant viruses, and why. Bonus points: Identify the primary synthetic parts used for QS in bacterial infections.
