Thinking on experiments

What about proteins? I need to work with something experimental, to make my mind to work solving experimental puzzles and to develop conclusions from this experimental work. Which is to say, I need to approach biology from an experimental point of view, but at the same time I must continue with my work concerning theoretical evolution. The Santa Fe Institute I am considering the possibility to ask for a one week stay at the Santa Fe Institute in New Mexico. In that place there are some very interesting people working in evolution, and in particular with the understanding of social organization just using disturbed animal societies to follow the way they society adapt to the change. I was consulting the web site of the people (http://www.santafe.edu/). I think Jessica Flack is the right person to contact, because she is concerned with robustness and evolution influenced by cultural structures (jflack@santafe.edu).
