DPNI Take 1

• 1.) 1,4,5,8 Naphthalenetetracarboxylic dianhydride (.805g, 3.00 mmol)
• 2.) 4- aminopyridine (.847 g, 6.00 mmol)
• 3.) Diethyl ether (600 mL
• 4.) Dimethylacetamide (DMA) (150 mL)

• Dissolve 1&2 in DMA stirred at 135 degrees C overnight.
• Cooled to room temperature and poured onto diethyl ether (600 mL).

• Precipitate filter and washed with diethyl ether
• dried under vacuum to yield
