Tasklist

  1. Sample prep for NMR
    • Identify which amino acids formed AuNP in D2O
    • Add 1 mg of the AA to a test tube and add 1 mL D2O
    • Gently shake to dissolve
  2. NMR of samples
    • Run H-NMR on your AuNP sample and the corresponding AA
    • Michael and Mackenzie have used the NMR and will help everyone run their samples
  3. Experimental section
    • Experimental section is due next Wednesday
    • Spend the rest of your time today catching up on prior experiments & writing this section
    • Read over several journal articles to get a feel for what is included
    • Avoid step-by-step, unless the order really matters
    • Find the manufacturer (and purity if possible) of your amino acid
