The Daily Grind

  • While I was away at MPMI 2009, Jaqui and Manish eliminated reduncdancy in my seed endophytes to make a 95 well Plate 3. This was grown for one day, and two day times, and using the 96 well plate reader in the McCallef lab, OD600s were taken. 6 glycerol stocks of the plates were made ensuring that all microbes were at between OD600 0.15 to 0.25 and frozen at -80. This is for the bacterial competition experiment (pick a couple growth promoters and "breed" them to outcompete other endophytes in an in vitro R2A media and B73 plants).
