- Cells are harvested by centrifugation at 8500 rpm for 10 min to 4°C
- The supernatant are discard
- Cell pellet frozen overnight at -80° or with nitrogen
- Frozen biomass are lyophilize for 24h to remove the residual water
- Weight the pellet into a clean glass flask
