Should We Begin?

  • Jennyn 08:09, 11 July 2006 (EDT): I was scrolling through the labs, and realized that there are a good number of labs that merely link to their static website. I think we should begin moving these labs into another location until they have been integrated into the wiki. This is a list of the inactive labs.
  • Austin 09:27, 11 July 2006 (EDT): I think it's about time we began. I don't know if we want to distinguish the labs that just added themselves and those that have been "inactive" for a long time. We should also try to contact at least one person at each lab to let them know.
    • Jasonk 11:14, 12 July 2006 (EDT):Yeah, Jenny if you want to circulate a draft of an email around the SC that would probably be the 1st step. We should use this as an opportunity to get these labs to be active, rather than to get rid of them. So email should probably link to a few labs using the site / talk about new features, and then explain that we're cleaning up the main page, but if they want a little while to try and make a site we'll go ahead and leave them, just let us know.

Plan of Execution

Inactive labs will be removed from the front page to a secondary page on August 14th. Labs have been notified of the action.
