- On Tuesday, we evaluated our options for promoters to use in front of our coding region. We decided on two different promoters, each of which is inducible by two different chemicals. The first is a lactose inducible promoter called pLacIQ1. The second is an arabinose inducible promoter called pBad/araC promoter.
- On Thursday, we mixed our liquid culture media with ampicillin in anticipation of growing up liquid cultures on Monday in order to prepare plasmid isolations to send off for sequencing at ISU next week.
