Finishing Up and Analysizing Orchid DNA Extraction The DNA extraction from the orchid tissue was completed. The DNA pellated nicely and we were able to isolate the DNA and dissolve it in distilled water. We then loaded the DNA into a gel for analysis. Analysis showed that we had successfully extracted the genomic DNA, so next class we are going to run a PCR and amplify our gene of interest.
