20.109 TR Yellow Mod3 Real Research Proposal

This was a proposed idea for our research proposal.

The idea is to use the phage display method to create a sensor for a broad variety of diseases, such as HIV and blood parasites. This would serve as an efficient way of screening for a variety of ailments and has many applications to medical care in developing countries.

This proposal is based off of the paper "Metastatic cell detection using phage-peptide modified light addressable potentiometric sensor" by H. Zhang et al http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18771419
