Completion of Centrifuge of the Exchanged Clay

  • Two remaining sets of wash for the exchange clay was performed. Each set consists of washing with water and ethanol.
  • After the washes were completed, the clay were spread out on watch glasses. These were left to dry at Dr. Hartings' lab.

Data Analysis of MG data to Diffusion Curves

  • Using the article that Dr. Hartings provided, James evaluated the data to be pseudo-second order.

Film Syntheses

  • PVA only: 0.9994g PVA
  • PVA + NaMT: 0.9994g PVA + 0.1314g clay
