Centrifuge of Exchanged Clay

  • Tributylhexadecylphosphonium bromide and Choline Chloride exchanged clay solution were centrifuged to separate from water.
  • After separation at 4°C, 4000 rpm, the clay was washed first with water and then ethanol. Please refer to the entry dating 9/17/2014, Centrifuge of Ionic Liquid Exchange Clay for further details on removing of surfactants and excess ions from the clay.

Film Syntheses

  • The following weights were used:
    • PVA only: 1.00549 g
    • PVA + NaMT: 1.00293, 0.11374 g respectively.
