Competent cells ABSTRACT Planning to make competent cells. The synthesis hasn´t arrived yet so I continue doing incidental things for the whole team. Today we noticed a shortage in competent cells, this are very important for the validation of some experiments such as ligations or for transform plasmid of interest. So today I checked the protocol and I ask some help from my advisors and made a plan to do competent cells. It is a protocol for 3 days, so I divide the work. Vlad accept to help me, so we are going to work together. Tonight he is going to put 5 mL liquid cultures inoculated with E. coli DH5α and left them incubating at 37°C, 200 rpm overnight.
