Project Description/Abstract

  • UNAM Genomics Mexico 2011 project is hydrogen production in plant nodules.
  • We want to take advantage of the anaerobic environment provided by the plant nodules. We will introduce a genetic circuit in Rhizobium etli that redirects redox potential metabolites to produce molecular hydrogen. This will be orchestrated inside the nodules of the plant Phaseolus vulgaris.
