Objective

  1. Absorption of Malachite Green in Activated Carbon
  2. UV-Vis

Protocol

  1. Activated Carbon was weighed out last class
  2. 10mL of 20.3ppm Malachite Green was added to each vial. Increments of 15seconds-all the way to 7 minutes was recorded
  3. Activated Carbon was filtered out before taking UV-Vis
  4. All the Malachite Green was absorbed by 7 minutes
  5. UV-Vis was taken
