The purpose of the present experiment was to synthesize gold nanoparticles.
In order to synthesize gold nanoparticles, 2mL of chloroauric acid (0.75mM) and 1 mL BSA (15µM) and 7 mL water. The BSA and chloroauric were combined with distilled water. A second solution was crested in which 1 mL of BSA was added to 9 mL of water. Both samples were maintained in an 80 degree C oven for 30 minutes increments followed by a ten minute period of being held at room temperature.
