I am a mammalian physiologist with interest in metabolic regulation. I specialize in isotopic tracer studies to estimate the rates of metabolic reactions. The major tools used in my work are mass spectrometry, for detecting the incorporation of heavy isotopes into metabolites, and mathematical models, for converting isotope incorporation data into fluxes.--Joanne K.
