Working with Eduardo Sontag
I met Eduardo D. Sontag and I have now some ideas about a project to work with him. The project will include biological research based on theoretical control ideas. By the moment there are two main ideas:
- Regulation of the oscillatory behavior of basic genetic networks including delays, via the application of the small gain theorem. This topic requires experimentation ina compulsory way and I need to consult with PAm in order to make it here at Silver Lab.
- Retroactiviy, i.e. the counter-effect resulting from the connection of two network when the second network (i.e. the one receiving a signal) reacts sending a response to the first network which affect it. The important thing here is how to measure the effect of retroactivity and the purpose of it.
