Looking for information about modeling in biology
- Today I was looking from some information about modeling in biology, and I found very interesting information. In particular, I read something about the 'rule-based methodology' developed by Walter Fontana and co-workers, which offers a modeling approach which is based on computer science, which no application of bioinformatics tools. It seems that the approach considers modeling, of cellular signaling systems, in terms of a formal language, which takes into account the combinatorial nature of biochemical interactions. With his co-workers Fontana developed an agent based language called kappa, which addresses the modeling problem (where I can find more information about this formal language?).
