- I overhauled our wiki. It should now be more agreeable to the eye, and easy to navigate. Using inspiration from Edinburgh's anti-Wiki-CSS, from Caltech's use of templates, and from past experience with the header, I created our new template. It holds 5 content sections: main, leftbar, plus three modular color coded elements at the bottom. The elements to reference are the contents of all 5 sections, plus the language of the regionalized pages.
- I tried to render the pages as light as possible on the bandwidth, loading only 2 non-wiki images and generating the rest with gradients. Thus, the code works only on latest versions of Gecko and Webkit. Since the analysis of our page traffic shows that IE holds less than 13%, I feel it is an acceptable trade-off: slightly less people for a lighter wiki.
