Objective To determine if the isopropanol and butyne-1-ol were successfully attached to the hydrogels, to carry out DSC on the hydrogels, to begin swelling tests on the hydrogel, and to filter the PVOH modified quaternary ammonium salt. Description Determining if Isopropanol and Butyne-1-l Attached FTIR was used to determine if the isopropanol and butyne-1-ol attached to the PVOH in the hydrogels. FTIR spectra could not successfully be taken because the hydrogels were too thick and inflexible. A spectra was taken of a film just containing PVOH to ensure that the problem was not with the instrument. Data Add data and results here...
