Risk from Salmonella in almonds

Compared uncertainty on FAO/WHO 2002 Salmonella DR relationship with approximation derived by assuming a non-skewed distribution of the error. It doesn't really work: upper bounds are underestimated at lower doses (roughly < 10^4 CFU) and overestimated till nonsense at high doses (roughly about 10^8 CFU). Contacted both FAO and Health Canada to inquire about methods they used to fit DR data.

Luckily, another version of the WHO FAO study includes parameters for the upper bound.
