Prepare 0.1 M buffer solutions of pH 10, 11, & 12
I suggest using Na2HPO4/Na3PO4 or NaHCO3/Na2CO3.
Prepare your Au/AA solutions using buffer instead of water for all three AA

Make a 10 mM HAuCl4 solution and a 100 mM AA solution (using your basic R group)
Prepare AuNP solutions using 10:1, 1:1, & 1:10 Au:AA at each pH
Set aside your 18 AuNP preparation solutions for overnight heating

Prepare Buffer for Bradford Analysis

  • 1L 50mM Tris 50mM NaCl pH 7.5

Prepare Buffer for Dialysis

  • 100 mL Glycine Buffer with pH = 3.5

Prepare Buffer for SDS-PAGE

  • 3.75mL 0.5M Tris pH 6.8 ---> 6.1042 g Tris in 100mL water ---> 0.504M Tris
  • 15.0mL of 50% glycerol ---> 7.5mL glycerol + 7.5mL water
  • 0.3ml of 1% Bromphenol Blue ---> 0.009g Bromphenol Blue in 1mL water
  • 6.0mL 10% Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS) ---> 1g SDS in 10mL water
  • H2O to make 30mL total
