The Daily Grind

  • Autoclaved petri dishes and paper towels, then used these to germinate 50 seeds of Lehna and EMBRAPA genotypes of seed (25 per plate with 1 paper above and below). Plates were put into dark drawers at room temperature (25 degrees) until Monday when they will be transfered to soil if they've germinated.
  • Made a blend of 4:1 sand to vermiculite and am autoclaving that twice to sterilize it. This totals 2L of sterile substrate.
  • Plants in test magentas appear all dead - maybe overwhelmed by transition from humidity to dryness?
