The Daily Grind

  • Did replica plating in duplicate with soil swap endophytes on plate 4 and 5. Jammed plate 5 endphytes (three rows) onto the plates, so it might be messy/difficult to read. Will let microbes grow for three days and then take measurements so that they don't overwhelm the plate and spread into each other too much. Nitrogen free growth, ACC deaminase activity, and acetoin production were done in 100 ul volumes in sterile 96 PCR plates. All are being incubated at 25 degrees without agitation.
