The day was spent primarily analyzing the films made to date and experimenting with different storage techniques. Some of the films were lightly cleaned with distilled water to remove the greasy glycerol coat, and the films that had been removed from their plates were stored between two sheets of lab tissue. The films made in Tris buffer on the previous day, either by nature of that quality, the particular concentrations used of the substrates, or some other factor, were very near to quality of light industrial plastics. They were also considerably thicker than some of the films made previously at the same volume and in the same kind of plate.
