Magnet Two Experiment I am working on a new experiment with the ferritin and my second magnet. I am simply placing a flow cell with 1:10 dilution of ferritin in DI water on top of the magnetic saddle. It looks like this: I am trying two orientations of the magnets. One where they are opposite of each other, like yesterday's model, and another one where all three magnets point in the same direction. For both of them, there was a slight drawing to the edges of the cylinder magnets, away from the center of the cone magnet. Here's a picture of the first case: For both experiments, I was unable to collect or move the ferritin, even after placing the flow cell in the magnetic yoke for an hour, a technique that has worked before.
