Project Description

The purpose of this research project is to determine if the presence of Myoglobin (and eventually Manganese Myoglobin) has the potential to effect the rate of various reactions, or act as a catalyst. A variety of buffers and solvents are being used to test the proteins catalytic properties in a host of environments. Data from the reactions is being collected and recorded using Ocean View Ocean Optics, and is being processed and analyzed using Microsoft Excel.
