Lab 2

10/25/07

  • Conclusion:

The results coincide with my hypothesis, because in my hypothesis i did Punnett Squares to figure out possible phenotypes. The phenotype ratios from the results match those in the Hypothesis for Autosomal Recessive.

In vial 1 we got 20 male wilds, and 20 female wild, and in vial #2 we got 20 male wild, and 20 female wild fruit flies.

The Experiment was flawed in the fact that we did not remove the parents from the vials as soon as we could have.

We can further study the fruit flies by doing an "F2" another cross, to follow the traits even further.

I predict by doing so with our sepia we will get 3/4 wild fruit flies, and 1/4 sepia fruit flies.
