Experiments with using Jello as a growth medium

  • So far, i have only done one experiment with using jello to grow things. It was surprisingly successful with growing a yellow houseplant mushroom from spores i had saved. It should be noted that the jello was concentrated much higher than normal jello is usually prepared. This is because jello is not at stiff as agar, and so i had to concentrate it to get it as close as possible.

  • Jello was concentrated to be close to agar
  • The Jello did contain some sugar and nutrients from chicken and beef bullion cubes
  • This project is currently on hold until further notice.
