Objectives

-take fluorescence measurements of several mixtures all of which contain cancer cell solution


Procedure

Preparation of Mixtures:

1) a. 5μL 2mM dNTP soln, 100μL cell solution, 50μL Elaine's primer, 25μL telomerase complementary strand, 25μL Molecular Beacon

  b. 5μL 2mM dNTP soln, 100μL cell solution, 50μL primer attached to AuNP, 25μL telomerase complementary strand, 25μL Molecular Beacon

2) a. 5μL 2mM dNTP soln, 100μL cell solution, 50μL Elaine's primer, 25μL Molecular Beacon

  b. 5μL 2mM dNTP soln, 100μL cell solution, 50μL primer attached to AuNP, 25μL Molecular Beacon

3) 5μL 2mM dNTP soln, 100μL cell solution, 50μL Elaine's primer, 10μL 5μM Zinc Protoporphyrin IX

4) 5μL 2mM dNTP soln, 100μL cell solution, 50μL primer attached to AuNP, 10μL 5μM Zinc Protoporphyrin IX

5) a. 5μL 2mM dNTP soln, 100μL cell solution, 50μL primer attached to AuNP, 25μL telomerase complementary strand

  b. b. 5μL 2mM dNTP soln, 100μL cell solution, 50μL Elaine's primer, 25μL telomerase complementary strand
