Objective: create gold nanoparticles using adenosine

Procedures: Calculations were performed in order to create a 5mL solution of 100mM AuCl3 from 1M AuCl3:

V= 50μL
50μL of a 1M AuCl3 solution was added to a conical vial. 4950μL of DI water was then added to the vial. The solution was stirred then covered with aluminum foil. The solution was then stored at room temperature. Two different concentrations of adenosine were tested: 5 mg/mL and 15 mg/mL. 17.50 mg of adenosine was added to a conical vial labeled "5mg/mL adenosine." 52.50 mg of adenosine was added to a conical vial labeled "15mg/mL adenosine." 3.5mL of DI water was added to each vial. 0.5mL of 100mM AuCl3 was added to each vial. The pH of the solution in each vial was measured using a pH meter:

The vials were then placed on a shaker for 16 hours.
