  • Meeting With Carole:

Discussed overview of document. Agreed on tension between long term vs. immediate value, highlighting our desire vs. distancing possible depositors. We need to incorporate use cases, but unsure what state they are in. We want more input from the Working Science Groups, especially Social Science (which may need to come from NCAR at the moment) Need approval of mission.

Data Practices Group: For Monday -- review interviews for possible IRD contribution. Read "Requirements Gathering" White Paper from IRD at Pittsburgh meeting. Review Data Curation Framework paper and poster from DP. Read White Paper for table which lays out elements to gather from interview. Possibly we'll continue with this method until January when NSF review takes place.
