  • Prepared gel electrophoresis dyes
  • Digested CFP construct for gel electrophoresis
  • Ran three gels with CFP construct
  • Excised band thought to be CFP construct
  • Repeated CuSO4 treatments on E. coli
  • Aliquoted 1 ml of the CuSO4 treated cultures (above) to microcentrifuge tubes, centrifuged, and observed pellets for fluorescence with UV lamp
  • Read optical density of E. coli growing in M9 media
  • Prepared an overnight culture of GFP in LB Carb broth
  • Autoclaved biohazard waste and pipette tips
