  • Consulted with Matt Lux on cassette design
  • Attended VBI’s Student Groups Health & Safety Orientation
  • Read and discussed Czar et al.’s article “Gene Synthesis Demystified”; selected PCA as a DNA assembly method
  • Tried out the RBS calculator
  • Checked out GenoCad; put in two designs
  • Consulted with subteams about available equipment
