Objective: Research the activity constant of the luminescence reaction (k_kat) by Luciferase from fire fly

In the constructed light-switch from yeast:

K_cat =4.99 E+02 nM/h  [1]

In the heterologous expression of luciferase in mouse kidney cells:

K_cat= 0.04  moles of oxyluciferin / ( moles of luciferase *seg)  [2]
