Research Project: Wifi Coli: A CommunicoLight System

My team is working in a Synthetic Biology Project for the next 2010 iGEM Competition. It consists in engineer bacterial cells to enable them to communicate through light, thus shifting the paradigm of chemical-based communication. In this notebook, I will be reporting my personal advances in the project.


Personal Tasks

  • Construct the Blue-Light receptor: LovTAP.
  • Construct the LuxY and Lumazine genes in order to change the Light spectral emission of the LuxAB genes from vibrio fisheri.
