Transfection optimization of K562

Overview Measured cell density of K562 culture in antibiotic-free medium at 490,000 cells/mL. At 9 mL total culture, that's 4,410,000 cells total. Ideal cell density for transfection with lipofectamine in 24-well plate is 0.5-2E5 cells per well. Assume 1 extra mL of culture as buffer. 4.90E5 cells/mL * x mL = 0.5E5 cells/mL * 25 mL x = 12.5E5 cells / (4.9E5 cells/mL) x = 2.55 mL 25 - 2.55 = 22.45 mL medium
