Kinases are an essential target class for pharmaceutical research. They are key components of cell signaling pathways by transfer of the terminal phosphate molecule from ATP to the serine, threonine, or tyrosine residues of a protein. Recently, drug approvals of novel chemical entities have proven the value of targeting kinases for a wide range of diseases treatment. The toolbox of assays and reagents to determine kinase activity with purified proteins in a biochemical assay offers plenty of opportunities. Mean while, cell-based assay, including activity of hit compounds and protein interaction detection constitute an important part in the selection of candidate drugs for in vivo testing. https://www.creative-biogene.com/Services/Drug-Discovery-Services/Kinase-Screening-Profiling-with-Cellular-Assays.html
