Independent and Dependent Variables
The independent variable, the variable that is being manipulated on the x - axis, is the amount of Lipopolysaccharide in mg.
Select an SRS of 250 eligible elderly people. Assign each a number between 001-250. Use a random integer generator computer system to choose 50 people in each group (10 mg, 8mg, 6mg, 4mg, and 0mg.)
Sources of Error and Bias
Some sources of error/bias could include; other drugs the subject may be taking, diet, sleeping patterns, physical activity, weight vs. the drug intake, allergies and the placebo effect.
