- A zein solution of 10% with ethanol, 90% with glycerol and 10% with zein weight basis is formed.

-5 g of the solution is placed in to a plastic petri dish whose diameter is 9 cm. The plastic petri dish is swirled until it is coated.

- The plastic petri dish is placed in an oven(40 degree celcius) for 24 hours.


0.3 g glycerol x 1 ml/1.261 g = 0.238 ml glycerol

-The film layer was extremely thin and easily pulled of from the petri dish.

-It had a transparent yellow color and curved right after pulled from the petri dish.
