Objectives

  1. Determine the absorbance of BSA-AuNPs synthesized on 10/16/2013.
  2. Synthesize Pepsin-AuNPs and HRP-AuNPs for catalytic activity testing
  3. Determine the absorbance of all starting materials used for solution preparation (gold and HRP)


HRP-AuNP and Pepsin-AuNP


  • The general protocol for the synthesis of HRP-AuNP and Pepsin-AuNP follows the general protocol for the preparation of protein wrapped Au-NPs described on 08/28/2013.

  • The varying ratios will be used to determine the ideal concentrations for the preparation of fibers of unraveled proteins.


UV/vis

  • Absorbance of BSA-AuNPs was determined for future comparison of the activity of protein-AuNPs.
