Objectives

  • Make a calibration curve for the determination of Ag+ in solutions.
    • Make 0.10 M AgNO3 solution.
  • Remove PLA2002D + 5 wt % LMT film from glass mold.
  • Prepare a starter culture of DH5α-T1 cells.

0.1 M AgNO3 Solution

  • Calculations
  250 mL of 0.1 M AgNO3
  MW AgNO3 = 169.87 g/mol
  0.1 M × 0.250 L = 0.025 mol
  0.025 mol AgNO3 × (169.87 g AgNO3/1 mol AgNO3) = 4.24675 g AgNO3
  • Actual mass AgNO3: 4.24694 g
  • Actual molarity AgNO3: 0.10000 M AgNO3
